Before you begin

Before you begin please familiarise yourself with the Hunting information you need to know sheet which summarises the regulatory requirements you must comply with.

What do I need to complete this application?

You will need the following:

  • if you are applying for a duck hunting permit you must have sat and passed a Waterfowl Identification Test (WIT). You will require your WIT number to complete your application.
  • if you are under 18 years, you will need a parent or guardian to support the application.
Basic Hunting permits are currently Open for application.
Duck Hunting permits are currently Closed for application. Applications open on 1/02/2021
This year's Duck Hunting season runs from 20/03/2021 to 27/06/2021 Daily bag limit
Quail Hunting permits are currently Closed for application.
No open season for quail has been declared for 2021.
